We will keep track of volunteer hours, as it may be a requirement to receive a scholarship. January

Most importantly – We need to raise money for Grad Night. Our starting balance was $1,202.29. Fundraising is not mandatory, but HIGHLY recommended if we want to provide our Seniors a fun & memorable Grad Night. Grad Night is not mandatory for students to attend, but if you student is planning to attend, we would appreciate your support.

If we all pitch in, we can make this a night that they will remember.  Fundraising Events scheduled to date include:

  • Pie Sales (Orders due by February 18 and pies will arrive on March 9.) Order forms were delivered to each senior in their advisory class. (The fall pie sale resulted in $930 and only four students sold. Can you imagine if every student sold one pie? We could make $3100.)
  • Panda Express Night, (January 28 from 11am to 11pm) – We will receive a percentage of sales but must show flyer either paper or electronic. (we will send them out to students or download from the websitea0
  • Pop Can Drive, (February 11 from 8am – Noon)Please bring cans/bottles to the high school and/or come help volunteer.
  • Selling Chicken & Rice Bowls will be sold at Jam the Gym (2/10 starting at 4:30 and cost is $6.00, food provided by Migets)
  • Golf Event at Top Golf (March 5 from 4-7pm) – Tickets $75 per person and will be on sale soon. (Cost includes dinner, golf bay, tournament play and fun!)
  • Concession Stand at the Softball/Baseball home games. (March – May). Students are encouraged to work the games.

The money we raise will help pay for the venue, activities and food, about $13,000.

We are a far cry from that amount. The average grad night ticket cost right now may be close to $100 per student. In order to reduce the cost, we ALL need to fundraise. Even if you can’t work at events, please support by buying a few pies, supporting the restaurant fundraising nights/events and/or attending an event.

Also, did you know that there may be raffle/door prizes given to the students at Grad Night?  They will receive a cinch bag which was graciously donated by Steele Electric.  But for the other gifts, we need to ask our community and local businesses if they would like to donate so that we have something to give them.

Yes! There will be Scholarships for students that want to attend, but may not have the financial resources. These students will need to work at the events. They can help sort cans, work the Chicken & Rice stand at the Jam the Gym, work at the concession stands, sell pies and more. We will keep track since it is a requirement to get a scholarship.
